Racquet Sports lend themselves nicely to differentiated tasks as you can provide different challenges for each group working on each court.
The attached work cards all focus on the tactics of attacking and provide differing levels of challenge.
I have used all the activities in their various forms as quick welcome ideas as groups arrive, warm ups and also as assessment game opportunities. Having them as work cards cuts down ‘teacher talk’ and puts the emphasis on the students to organise and run the mini activities themselves.
Crucially all involve high levels of competition and you can set groups within ability and by task.
Would love to hear about your favourite games in this area – and if you haven’t tried some of the attached ideas before – give them a go and let me know how you get on!
